The Saint Lucian body of Seventh-day Adventist believers is organized into a Mission – the first round of autonomous government in the global hierarchical pattern of the organization’s administrative design. This structure allows the Saint Lucian Mission to operate independently, managing its internal affairs and making decisions tailored to the unique needs and context of its local congregations. However, while it enjoys self-governance, it remains closely affiliated with the next level of the administrative hierarchy, which, in our case, is the Caribbean Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Affiliation with the Caribbean Union Conference
This affiliation with the Caribbean Union Conference ensures a cohesive and unified approach to the church’s mission and objectives across the region. The Union Conference plays a pivotal role in the larger governance structure, providing support, resources, and guidance to the Mission. It also serves as a link between the local Missions and the global Seventh-day Adventist Church, ensuring that regional actions and policies are in harmony with the worldwide church’s goals and doctrines.
Collaborative Leadership Election and Decision Ratification
Administrators within the Saint Lucian Mission are elected through a collaborative process that involves the Caribbean Union Conference. This ensures that leadership within the Mission is both locally relevant and aligned with broader church principles.
