The Department of Public Affairs and Religious Liberty (PARL) is integral to the Adventist Church’s global mission to foster environments conducive to sharing the good news of freedom and inviting everyone into a loving relationship with God and fellow human beings.
PARL works proactively and diligently to eliminate prejudices against the SDA Church—its identity, message, and mission—by engaging with people and sharing unique Adventist perspectives through peaceful persuasion.
PARL’s mandate is to promote and cultivate a culture of human rights founded on human dignity and the belief that all humans are created in God’s image, with the freedom to connect with God and each other.
This includes advocating for religious freedom, defending the rights of individuals to practice their faith without coercion or discrimination, and supporting legislative efforts that protect these freedoms.
