The Youth Ministries department is divided into four interconnected segments: Adventurers (ages 6-9), Pathfinders (ages 10-15), Ambassadors (ages 16-21), and Adventist Youth (ages 16-35).
Master Guides are responsible for leading the Adventurers and Pathfinders, while AY Leaders guide the Ambassadors and Adventist Youth groups. Collectively, these segments are known as Adventist Youth Ministry (AYM), with the goal of supporting the spiritual, mental, and physical development of children, youth, and young adults.
This department provides essential resources and training for leaders within Conferences and Missions, mentors for conference leaders, and assistance to church leaders in fostering the faith, hope, and holistic growth of Seventh-day Adventist youth.
Global Youth Day (GYD), a project of the General Conference Youth department, seeks to showcase Adventist youth as a global force dedicated to service. This initiative plays a role in spreading the everlasting gospel and preparing for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
The department’s responsibilities include :
– Motivating and aiding young people in participating in evangelism and supporting the overall evangelistic efforts of their local churches or conferences/mission.
– Organizing and backing union-wide youth events and assisting sub-entities in conducting similar activities, such as Camporees, Camps, Bible Connection competitions, and youth outreach programs.
